King Brasstards

Founded in 2015, the King Brasstards emerged as one of the UK’s pioneering funky brass bands, their outstanding ability to entertain is unparalleled.

King Brasstards aren’t just about the big stage moments; “We can steal the show with a simple, spontaneous performance at a reception,” explains Frontman Gareth John. He adds, “Our dynamic range, from a tight three-piece to a magnificent seven-piece band, ensures both we and our clients enjoy ultimate flexibility.”

With two distinctive vocalists leading their ensemble, the band guarantees exhilarating performances that are not only delightful but also tailored to the desires of their clientele.

Their musical canvas, while vast, always maintains a funky New Orleans-inspired undertone. With three stellar albums under their belt, their relentless dedication to versatility and a sharp business ethic is evident.

From electrifying the arena at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham to energizing the stands backing Team GB at the Billie Jean King Cup, their pulsating beats have echoed across numerous prestigious events. They've enlivened The Hundred cricket matches, set the pace at Formula One in Silverstone, cheered on the Leicester Tigers Rugby, got fans on their feet at Premier League football matches, and have been the soul of many basketball finals events.

Television hasn't been immune to their charms either. Their charisma on ITV’s 'Britain’s Got Talent', Channel 4, BBC Red Button, BT Sport, and Sky Sports speaks volumes about their adaptability.

Beyond live sports and broadcasts their tunes have caught the ears of industry giants like SkyBet, Boohoo, Meta Platforms, Amazon and Uber to name to name a few. In 2022, they left an indelible mark at the Travel Industry Awards held at the esteemed Rosewood Hotel in London. Their unique talent for kickstarting the party from any corner of a room, before owning the stage, is their signature entertainment move.

Their members have shared stages with iconic acts like The Specials, The Happy Mondays, Paul Weller, The Jam, The Beautiful South, Stephen Mulhern, Tom Grennan, Shed 7, and a plethora of others.

DixieMix Jazz Band

DixieMix Jazz Band, one of the UK’s top Traditional jazz ensembles, was formed in 2006 by trumpeter Simon Nelson and have seen great success over the years playing at many prestigious jazz clubs and festivals throughout Europe as well as numerous TV appearances. In 2014 the band was chosen to support Rod Stewart as part of his sell out UK stadium tour playing to 25,000 people a night!

Having produced seven albums to date DixieMix loves to put its own twist on great classic jazz standards and always delivers their music with enthusiasm and humour. The 6 piece band can adapt to many lineups and DixieMix are excited to be bringing a quartet to perform as part of the Guernsey Street Festival this year.

Oh My Gache Theatre

Oh My Gache Theatre a new theatre production group in Guernsey with the aim of putting on engaging and entertaining shows. Founded by five Guernsey performers, they have some exciting plans for 2025 and hope to grow in the years ahead so that they can offer creative opportunities for the many talented performers our island is blessed with.

Praizapella

In the heart of Guernsey, a unique musical group emerged composed of five passionate Seventh Day Adventist members with vibrant and versatile talents from Ghana and Zimbabwe. The group includes Ghanaian health professionals Martha, her husband Seth, and her brother Shadrach, alongside Zimbabwean finance experts Victor and his wife Melody.

Victor's deep, thunderous bass sends vibrations through the listener's core. Seth's tenor possesses a hypnotic quality, reminiscent of soothing jungle melodies. Martha's leading vocals and alto boast an enchanting range that chills the listener even on the hottest days. Melody’s soprano voice adds an aromatic sweetness to every song. Shadrach with his exceptional flair forms the rhythmic backbone of the ensemble.

United by lifelong church-nurtured vocal talents and a shared love for music as integral to their faith, PRAIZAPELLA blends distinct vocal styles into an uplifting authentic African rhythmic soundscape. Their vision is to use music as a powerful force to spread love, peace, and unity, aiming to heal, comfort, uplift spirits, be a beacon of hope and illuminate Guernsey and the world with harmonious tunes.

Faolán Griffin

Faolán Griffin is a solo musician and singer songwriter who has established themselves in the Guernsey music scene in the last few years. Their unique powerful vocals are known to captivate an audience and Faolán performs regular gigs across the island with haunting originals to upbeat cover songs. Faolán has an ever-growing repertoire of venues at which they have performed. This includes Castel Cornet, Vale Earth Fair, The Deerhound, to pubs such as The Yacht Inn and the Thomas De La Rue to name but a few. Faolán released their debut single ‘One Day More’ in 2023 which has held its own on streaming platforms and on local radio stations. Faolán is available for gigs, parties, and weddings.
